Management.

I've never been a huge Weezer fan, but with this...I "re-discovered" my original love for MGMT. Like, whoa.

This is on the agenda for my next piano studio practice. :)

Stormy Weather.

Today, it snowed. Wow. I can't believe it's almost been a year since I moved into my apartment. (Well, a year in Feb...wow, I'm really getting ahead of myself...haha) It was odd to hear the ting of jealousy in my mom's voice, while she is still dealing with sweltering weather. haha.

I've really come to love my morning drives to work. Grab gas, coffee on the way and leisurely drive the whopping 4 miles to this thing called a job. While I'm not a morning person, I do get quite the "people watching experience". I love my job. It was kind of a slow go, at first, but I'm starting to slowly hit my stride and am working hard at landing accounts with companies that I love. (Rue La La, William Rast, Diesel, Vice and Golden Voice...fingers crossed!) Everyone I work with is amazing and we have become quite the "family". Even to the point of getting Sunday brunch @ Em's with all the girls from work and having the staff smile to see us and our crazy stories, again.

I miss my family, terribly. It was odd to not have anyone here for my birthday...just here, at all. I guess that comes with being 2,000 miles away. I'm hoping to go visit for Christmas. Here's to hoping. I miss them.

I may have finally found the outlet for my clothing/store/all around bad ass project. I feel soooo confident lately and I know that I could really make this happen. I have amazing people that are helping me and connections that can help make this come to life. This time, next year it'll be 100%. Guaranteed. :)

Oh and there's this boy. He's kinda cool, yeah? He's a babe too. I've strayed from my usual "meh" attitude and put a bit of myself out there. We'll see if this works. It's like pulling teeth with me. haha.

Oh, but you know who's a babe too? This chick.

P.s.

I've become a HTML goddess, just in case you were wondering.

:)

Backup?

Cobra Starship's music may suck, (unless I workout to it...), but Gabe Saporta is. a. babe?

Yeah?

Yeah.

(Ps. Notice the JT "shout out". Dreamboy)

Shawty is a killah.

Best. Birthday. In. A. Long. Long. Time.

I'm not a big "birthday" fan. Never really have been, at least when it comes to mine. I think I get uncomfortable when all of the focus is on "me". Maybe. But this year, I realized that I have so many amazing people in my life and I truly am so SO lucky. A couple of years can change things and I'm so proud of who I have become and my "person", at this very moment.

It's nice. It's a nice, nice feeling.

God?

Book Nerd.

I'm back to reading, like a mad woman. Just recently finished "The Alchemist" (LOVED IT).

&This is the newest addition:

South London Boy.

"Stone, glass, concrete, and gravel: all we got to keep us together."

I love this. The beats sound like they were soldered together and are being held together with electrical tape. Fresh and modern, it's tailored for a generation raised on mix-tapes, the 24-hour news cycle and an incessant barrage of information.

Flailing.

These are my newest purchase. Love them and hate them, at the same time.

I tend to consider myself a very awkward person and that proved true on my morning jaunt to work. Late (of course), but in dire need of coffee, I stopped at the closest gas station to my work. Running into a gas station in 5 inch heels, didn't turn out to be a good idea. Instead of falling, I caught myself (to the oggle of at least 15 construction workers)

Wow, Harm. WIN.

Update:

Wow, it's been a long long time, since I've posted ANYTHING.

I guess we'll do a quick recap...hmmm.

*Saw The Yeah Yeah Yeah's in concert. I had the time of my LIFE. Actually, as much as I'm a music glutton, I've never been a big "concert girl". Well, that's quickly changing. Great "Justin Timberlake esque" company in Mr. Larson and a great, great, great show. Karen O is an amazing artist and performer! She's exactly what I would like to emulate, in the future, with my music. I've gotta get back my motivation.

*Work has started to get busy, finally! Long hours and never ending projects, but I thrive in heavy stress environments, for sure. I'm excited for our holiday season and raking in the $$$.

*My car's radiator went out, a week after I got it out of the shop. Fail.
(It's fixed, now...however, I have forgotten how much "road-rage" that big SUV gives me. haha)

*My landlord is the most darling old man, ever. I find it comical that he will call me to talk about random stories and his boyfriend, after he's been drinking.

*I have the most amazing best friend, ever. Sup, babe.

*The next person that asks me if "I'm white" or "what are you?", is gonna get a swift punch to the throat. Kthanks. ;)

*I'm so stoked on life, right now. I've met awesome people that make my small doses of "free time", so worth the tired mornings.

:)

This is the new gig. Sup.

Literally and Figuratively.

I guess it's been a while since I have actually laid some thoughts down on here. Life's been kinda crazy (really crazy, actually) and like they say, "time flies when you're having fun"...? I guess so. haha.

Just a quick blurb.

Mon.Lou.Lou. is getting up and running. Slowly, but surely. It's definitely a work in progress, but I am enjoying everything about cultivating this new business.

Well, my family is moving to Louisiana in the middle of August. This decision has been in the works for quite a while now, but it has come on quite quickly. It's a good choice and I'm glad that my mom will finally have the help she needs with my Grandma. Still, it's a rough situation.

Lately, I feel like most of the people I love are leaving.

Favorite.

Right up there with "The Last Unicorn". Yep.

Perfect.

When I was little, my favorite movie-(of all time!)- was "The Last Unicorn". I still remember my mom driving 30 miles to the nearest movie rental store on a weekly basis. Eventually, seeing as we were the only ones to ever rent the movie, they sold it to us. :)

I have heard the term often. Commonly whispered from girl to girl at a party/bar..."her Unicorn, is here". The phrase is tossed around jokingly and there's even a "definition" of it on UrbanDictionary.com. haha.

unicorn
1. (positive)
Your dream person. Your perfect person. The person to whom you wish to be with intimately more than anyone else. This person is characterized by the following statements and application rational.
Statements:
The unicorn is a rare mythological creature, unable to capture.
They have healing powers and can neutralize poison.
Rational:
Despite its rarity, everyone has a unicorn. But everyone’s unicorn is rare to them. This one person can sooth your soul and give you a sense of worth or completeness. Just the thought of this person can heal your innermost pain on the darkest of days. It’s the perfect person.

2. (negative)
The unreachable love. Too good to be true because "unicorn status" is superficial. Because most unicorns are rare and out of touch, the truth of the unicorn is likely askew. Beauty is exaggerated and faults and other unattractive attributes are forgotten or discounted. It’s your true love…Mr. Right… dream girl… and endless pursuit of this unicorn can only lead to disappointment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
An interesting observation, to say the least. I guess everyone has one, so I'll be on the lookout. Wanted: a mythical creature, unable to be captured. haha.

Oooh and I'm going on Ebay to see if I can find a copy of that movie I remember loving so much...

(find me a copy...and you just might become, mine.)

Keyed Entry.

I've been locked out, before. It's not exactly a rarity. I can be scatterbrained and from time to time, that turns around to bite me in the ass. In that previous situation, I got so frustrated, that I "hipped" my door in. (This was at my old house, not my new "totally awesome I never want to leave" spot) That time, I was successful but broke the doorframe and had bruises on my hip and waist, for at least a week. Ugh.

This time, that wasn't exactly an option. Kudos to the boy that knocked my clutch out of my hands, spilling the remnants of my purse onto the floor of "Urban Lounge". After scouring the floor for everything that had fallen out, I enjoyed the remainder of my night hanging out with some friends. Then on the car ride home, NO HOUSE KEYS. Lovely. After failed calls to my landlord, our only option (after an hour of brainstorming...!) was to call a locksmith; who ended up climbing onto my deck and letting us in. Talk about a long night/morning.

Oooh and bonus, apparently it's $20 to get my lost keys back. Nice.

LIfe. Kinda Feeling This Way.

"The Hills", but a version with a double wide.

So, maybe it wasn't our pool (we snuck in...), but at least it was without the "drama", of a high class MTV reality show. Randi, Natalie and I spent all day, in sugar comas, lounging in the sun.

Hello, Summer.

Retrospect.

Kinda feeling this way. Kinda.
Rough Translation?: Only one day has passed, and already I miss you.

Splatter Stint.

I can't take complete credit for the aforementioned love for almost anything "graffiti", but to the influential-Thank You. :)

Summa.

hahahaha. Such a HORRIBLE song.
(But, I still know all of the words.
Deal breaker, I know...)
